Bright light and scorched vegetation in Pléneuf-Val-André

Summary

On the night of 8 October 1989, a couple in Pléneuf-Val-André saw a very bright light through a skylight. The next day, they found scorched grass and tree stumps nearby. The investigation determined that some of the burns had been set deliberately. As for the light, also seen by another witness, it was identified as a conjunction of Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and the Moon, visible only from a specific direction.
