In November 1989, a witness in Dieppe saw for fewer than five seconds a triangular object with rounded edges and a grey-black colour, bearing three blinking light points on each side. The object vanished quickly without a trace. There were no other witnesses or additional records, and the testimony was collected twenty years later in 2009, complicating any investigation.
Despite the brevity of the sighting, the description is precise and detailed. GEIPAN classified it as C: no conventional explanation has been found, but one cannot be ruled out.
