Blinding luminous ball above a tree in Thiant

Summary

On 26 September 1990 a woman in Thiant noticed a luminous ball through her window while watching television. Alarmed, she called two neighbours who also watched. The sphere rose, descended to hover over a tree and became extremely bright, lighting up the entire area and dazzling the witnesses. The phenomenon lasted five to six minutes. All three observers gave consistent descriptions and no conventional cause was found. GEIPAN classified the case as D: unexplained.
