Summary

Around 9:30 PM on October 10, 1991, hundreds of witnesses across the Occitanie region observed a very bright white light moving rapidly from north to south. It left a clear trail and, in some areas, was accompanied by a loud explosive sound. Its striking nature prompted a local press article that brought in additional reports. Although an unidentified object was initially considered, the collected data point more likely to a natural event such as a meteorite entering the atmosphere.
