On the evening of 11 October 1992, two independent witnesses in Septèmes-les-Vallons (Marseille) observed a whitish, oval shape moving slowly across the sky between 21:30 and 22:30. Both decided to film it, making this one of the few cases from that era with audiovisual documentation. The subsequent investigation identified the object conclusively: it was an airship based at Marignane airport conducting promotional night flights.
