Rotating lights over Félines likely explained as helicopters

Summary

At around 22:00 on 18 October 1992, a couple driving through Félines (Ardèche) spotted two stationary, flickering lights in the sky. The lights were orange with a white glow and rotated counter-clockwise; beneath them a dark shape was visible. After about ten minutes the lights drifted away very slowly, with no audible sound. Investigators concluded the witnesses had most likely seen two helicopters hovering before departing. Classified B by GEIPAN.
