Flash and dome shape at Lusignan

Summary

In February 1993, a woman driving through the Vienne area saw an intense white flash followed by a dome-shaped object accompanied by three luminous circles. The phenomenon lasted three to four seconds; the witness did not stop and filed her report at the gendarmerie the next day. It could not be established whether the object was on the ground or airborne. Investigators noted the location was a paved road and suggested a vehicle with powerful lighting—such as an SUV or tractor—could account for the observation. Classified B.
