Cloud of luminous dots over Marly-le-Roi

In June 1993 a family on their terrace in Marly-le-Roi watched a cloud composed of roughly one hundred luminous dots. The individual points moved among themselves with no clear pattern while the cluster as a whole remained nearly stationary. Using binoculars, the witnesses observed it for about fifteen minutes until it vanished abruptly. Three of them filed a formal statement with the local gendarmerie. No conventional explanation was found; the case remains classified as unexplained.
