On November 26, 1993, a witness in Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut watched a yellow ball that appeared to burn between 7:15 and 8:15 a.m. It remained visible for nearly an hour before rapidly moving away, leaving a black trail. Investigators ruled out civil and military aircraft as well as a hot-air balloon. Neither the extended duration nor the clarity of the sighting provided sufficient clues to identify the object. GEIPAN classified the case as unexplained, and it remains an unresolved mystery in the French database of unidentified aerial phenomena.
