🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
Two witnesses in Messincourt, Ardennes, saw lights in the night sky in March 1994. They disagreed on the shape — one described a flat disc, the other a triangle — yet both reported the same trajectory, relative silence, and navigation-style lights. A second object appeared briefly before both moved away. Years later, GEIPAN re-examined the case with updated tools and concluded a helicopter was the most likely explanation. Minor discrepancies were attributed to viewing-angle differences, while shared details such as trajectory and navigation lights were consistent with a conventional aircraft.
