White lights at Lacapelle-Marival traced to a discotheque projector

Summary

On 4 November 1994 at 21:45, seven witnesses watched a set of white lights moving across the sky over Lacapelle-Marival (Lot) for about fifteen minutes. The seemingly unusual movement of the lights caused some alarm. The subsequent investigation revealed that the source was an advertising projector at a nearby discotheque. GEIPAN classified the case A, with a confirmed conventional explanation.
