Luminous object with deep sounds at Eauze explained as discotheque reflector

Summary

On the night of 6–7 November 1994, a young woman in Eauze (Gers) saw a round luminous object with red and white lights, accompanied by deep, regularly repeated sounds. Her grandmother also witnessed the phenomenon. GEIPAN investigators concluded it was most likely an advertising reflector from a discotheque, with the sounds being the propagation of low-frequency music. No unexplained elements remained after analysis.
