Green light and trajectory-changing point over Bourriot-Bergonce

Summary

Around 20:00 on a November 1994 evening, a child in the back seat of a car on a rural road near Bourriot-Bergonce (Landes) spotted an intense green light among the trees of a forest. Beside it, a luminous point abruptly accelerated and changed direction northward before vanishing silently. The testimony did not reach GEIPAN until 2010 and there were no other witnesses.

A bolide or shooting star was the initial hypothesis, but the sudden change of trajectory did not fit. The possibility of two coinciding objects was considered but could not be confirmed. Given the case's age and lack of additional evidence, it was classified as unidentifiable.
