Summary

In 1996, a motorist and his daughter saw around 7:00 p.m. a white halo roughly 80 cm long and 40 cm wide moving at a steady speed just 1.5 meters above the ground in the Oise region. Its trajectory stood out: it traveled in straight segments and abruptly changed direction westward, with no sound. The sighting lasted about 60 seconds with no other witnesses.
