On February 10, 1996, a witness along with his wife and son observed a very bright point in the sky over Épernay, clearly larger than a star, accompanied by a second luminous point. The witness filmed the phenomenon, but the recording quality was insufficient for conclusive analysis. Despite three observers, the origin of the lights could not be identified. GEIPAN classified the case as C.
