On February 10, 1996, a witness along with his wife and son observed a very bright point in the sky over Épernay, clearly larger than a star, accompanied by a second luminous point. The witness filmed the phenomenon, but the recording quality was insufficient for conclusive analysis. Despite three observers, the origin of the lights could not be identified.
