Object with double row of lights in Bourth, 1997

Summary

On the evening of October 10, 1997, a couple in Bourth (Eure) spotted a bright point of 3–4 mm apparent diameter that momentarily vanished before descending and growing larger as it approached their home. They made out two rows of eight non-blinding yellow lights. As the object passed over the house, it produced a muffled sound they could not associate with any aircraft. Despite investigation, the phenomenon remained unexplained.
