🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
At 7:45 a.m. on December 27, 1997, a driver in Cergy (Val-d'Oise) saw a flaming object falling rapidly. The phenomenon was silent, lasted about three seconds, and displayed blue and yellow colors. A second witness confirmed the same observation, strengthening the account's consistency. The data matched the hypothesis of an object entering Earth's atmosphere — possibly a meteorite or rocket fragment. GEIPAN classified the case as category B.
