🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In June 1998, a motorist in Hérault had a singular experience. His car stopped for no apparent reason, and upon stepping out he observed a green light and a conical object hovering above the ground. He reported feeling paralyzed and seeing a figure with an oval head and four fingers entering the object. Afterward, he experienced a significant memory gap and found no physical traces.
Originally classified as a category D case, GEIPAN reviewed the information and concluded the testimony was insufficient to consider the phenomenon unexplained. The lack of objective evidence and the impossibility of corroboration led to reclassification as category C — an unexploitable testimony.
