Fast light and radar track in Rozérieulles, 1998

Summary

On August 6, 1998, a driver in Moselle saw a light at night moving rapidly from south to north for 15–20 seconds. Aviation authorities confirmed a passenger aircraft in the area. However, an unidentified radar track was also recorded coinciding with the sighting. GEIPAN classified the case as category B — the report is inconclusive and the phenomenon remains unresolved.
