Summary

In September 1998, several witnesses in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime) observed three bright aligned points and an even more luminous globe among them. GEIPAN investigated and concluded it was the planet Jupiter and three of its moons, whose alignment was especially favorable for observation during that period. The match between testimonies and celestial position confirmed the astronomical nature of the phenomenon, classified as A.
