Advertising airship mistaken for a UFO in Artzenheim

On September 18, 1998, several witnesses in Artzenheim (Haut-Rhin) observed an ovoid luminous object following a clear trajectory, emitting regular intermittent flashes. One of them managed to record it on camera. GEIPAN investigated and determined the object was a zeppelin-type airship used for advertising purposes. Classified as A, the case illustrates how certain conventional objects can appear puzzling under particular lighting and perspective conditions.
