🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On 19 August 1999, two French gendarmes watched a very bright point in the sky over Chessy (Rhône) surrounded by three rapidly rotating lights — blue, green and red. The cluster displayed intermittent pendular movements and the phenomenon lasted about twenty minutes. No additional data were gathered. Classified as category C by GEIPAN, the case has no conventional explanation, though the duration and the observers' precision lend it some investigative interest.
