Tours 1999, four luminous points in shifting formation

Summary

In December 1999, a witness in Tours (Indre-et-Loire) saw four white luminous points aligned in the sky. Three formed a triangle while the fourth circled around them; then all four realigned and moved swiftly eastward. The phenomenon recurred in March 2000. Thai lanterns released after a private celebration were considered but could not be verified due to the lack of weather data from that period. With no conclusive evidence, GEIPAN classified the case as category C.
