🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On the night of August 9, 2000, a witness in Essonne noticed a very bright luminous point, considerably larger than a star. The object moved slowly before suddenly accelerating and vanishing from sight within two seconds. No additional witnesses or supplementary data were recorded, making further analysis impossible. GEIPAN classified the case as C — a brief but coherent observation of an aerial phenomenon that could not be attributed to a conventional cause due to insufficient information.
