Between 9:00 and 10:30 p.m. on a December night in 2000, several members of a family in Ambert watched a luminous disc-shaped object appear suddenly in the sky. During the sighting, power outages and television interference occurred, though no sound was heard. The object moved quickly and vanished without a trace. The testimony was not filed until 2010 and lacks precise details such as the exact time or official corroboration, severely limiting further analysis.
GEIPAN classified the case as C: it cannot be attributed to a conventional cause, but there is not enough evidence to consider it truly unexplained. The ten-year gap between the event and the report reduces the reliability of the recalled details.
