🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
Around 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2001, a witness in Mâcon noticed three stationary, silent luminous points in the sky. Shortly after, the objects began drifting slowly to the left, displaying two flashing lights — one red and one white. The phenomenon lasted about four minutes. No gendarmerie investigation or additional witnesses supplemented the report. GEIPAN classified the case as C, noting that the observation does not fit conventional explanations but lacks sufficient data for a conclusive analysis.
