At around 7:50 p.m. on March 13, 2001, a witness in Marly-le-Roi saw an extremely bright luminous point leaving a trail as it crossed the sky. The witness immediately recognized it as an object entering the atmosphere. No physical traces or additional records were found to confirm the object's exact nature. GEIPAN catalogued it as a B case, suggesting a plausible explanation — most likely an atmospheric entry — though not definitively confirmed.
