At 2:30 a.m. on 22 December 2001, a driver in Vitré reported a large triangular object flying in complete silence. He said the shape hovered over his car for a few seconds before vanishing. He described very bright, moving lights underneath and a front section that appeared to be made of a Plexiglas-like material.
