🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In January 2003, a driver and passenger on the island of Corsica saw a bright green light with white flashes cross the sky from south to north. They described a circular shape, a rapid trajectory, and complete silence. Originally classified as unknown, GEIPAN later reviewed the case with updated methods and concluded that the intense colours, short duration, and lack of sound were consistent with a meteoric entry. The case was reclassified as a probable fireball.
