Around 23:00 on 9 August 2003, a witness and family members observed flickering lights in the sky over the Aude department, reminiscent of a large carrier. No sufficient data were collected to determine the nature of the phenomenon and no other reports surfaced. GEIPAN assigned the case category C for insufficient information.
