Around 17:45 on 4 January 2004, several witnesses in Bordeaux watched a large fireball fall at remarkable speed. The event was brief but striking enough to generate multiple reports. GEIPAN concluded it was most likely a meteorite entering the atmosphere and assigned the case classification B.
