Summary

At some point in 2005, around 22:00, a student in Courdimanche saw a luminous sphere wrapped in a halo cross the sky from northeast to southwest in under three seconds, making no sound, at an estimated altitude of 3,000 metres. He could not recall the exact date. The brevity of the sighting makes precise identification difficult; an atmospheric entry is plausible but the data are insufficient to confirm it. GEIPAN classified the case as C.
