Stationary grey object spotted from flight AF 7705

Summary

On July 7, 2005, at 14:14, the pilot of flight AF 7705 spotted a nearly stationary grey object while approaching Charles de Gaulle airport. It did not match any known aircraft or weather balloon, and produced no radar echo. The possibility of an escaped balloon from Eurodisney was considered but ruled out based on shape and colour.

A ground investigation yielded no results, and it remains unknown whether other pilots witnessed the same object. Unable to advance further, GEIPAN closed the case with a C classification.
