Observation of the star Sirius from a campsite in Le Croisic

Summary

In April 2007, several witnesses at a campsite in Le Croisic noticed a luminous ball changing colour between green, red, and blue. Gendarmes responded, taking photos and recording a thirteen-second video. An astronomer analysed the case and determined it was the star Sirius, highly visible at that time of year. Other reports received by GEIPAN during the same period also corresponded to bright stars, reinforcing the conclusion. The investigation also served as material for a television broadcast.
