Bright light over Nice identified as Jupiter

Summary

On June 9, 2007, a resident of Nice filmed a very bright light in the night sky for several minutes. After the local gendarmerie showed no interest in his report, he contacted GEIPAN directly. Analysis using the Winstars 2 astronomy software confirmed that the light was the planet Jupiter, visible under ideal conditions from that location. Independently, the witness reached the same conclusion through his own research.
