🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
Around 4:45 AM on July 18, 2007, a witness on Corsica watched from his terrace as a light approached and then changed direction without any audible sound. Although he could not pinpoint the exact location of the phenomenon, his description matched the landing light of an aircraft approaching Figari airport. The absence of noise was explained by the east-northeast wind carrying the sound away from the observer. GEIPAN classified the case as B, with a plausible though not fully conclusive explanation.
