Summary

Between 22 and 28 November 2007, a witness and a passenger were driving along a departmental road in Loiret between 8 and 10 p.m. when they saw a yellowish, teardrop-shaped luminous object descending rapidly towards the ground. It moved silently and vanished after one or two seconds. The teardrop shape is likely attributable to the trail left by bolides entering the atmosphere. GEIPAN classified the case as B, pointing to a natural explanation without entirely ruling out other possibilities.
