White trail with dissipating smoke over La Roque-Sainte-Marguerite

On 1 February 2008, a witness in La Roque-Sainte-Marguerite saw a white trail in a clear sky, about 30 degrees above the horizon to the southeast. They lost sight of the object after a few seconds but noticed slowly dissipating smoke. The local press reported similar observations that day.
