Three likely sky lanterns in Vidauban

Summary

On Saturday evening 15 March 2008, between 22:20 and 22:30, two witnesses in Vidauban (Var) saw three silent passes of a flickering light described as a fireball. The wind direction from the east, the time and the day of the week all point to sky lanterns. GEIPAN classified the case as B, deeming it a probable observation of three Thai lanterns.
