Nightclub laser reflection in Cuers

Summary

At 04:17 on 27 April 2008, a witness in Cuers (Var) saw a flat, circular light tracing fast circles in silence. The investigation found it was a laser beam from a nearby nightclub reflecting off low clouds or fog. The shape, movement and direction matched the typical use of club lasers on Saturday nights, and the gendarmerie confirmed the reflection was visible from the witness's home.
