White sphere over Montoir-de-Bretagne

Summary

On 7 May 2008, two witnesses saw a white, round object moving quickly from east to west on a slightly descending trajectory, without making any sound. Only one filed a report with GEIPAN. Investigators consider a meteor entering the atmosphere the most likely explanation, consistent with the shape, movement and absence of noise. Classified B.
