Luminous pyramid-shaped object in Lavergne

Summary

On the night of 1 May 2008, at 10:15 PM, a teenager in Lavergne (Lot) first heard high-pitched voices speaking unknown words, then saw a dark, pyramid-shaped object hovering about five metres above the ground. It emitted a bright beam of light and displayed changing colours. The witness watched it for 15 to 20 minutes until a strong flash blinded him and the object vanished. He later suffered severe headaches. A neighbour reported that their dog barked unusually that night.

The gendarmerie investigated but found no physical evidence or ground traces. GEIPAN contacted the witness years later without uncovering new leads. A doctor suggested a migraine with aura, a hypothesis that could not be confirmed. With no corroborating evidence and a single testimony, the case was classified C.
