🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On the night of 13 June 2008, several witnesses in Paris observed dim lights moving from northeast to northwest. A video captured the phenomenon, and numerous internet users posted testimonies on forums and social media. The objects, all of low luminosity, followed the same trajectory. Investigators concluded they were most likely Thai lanterns released during a festive event. Such lights, common at celebrations, are hard to trace, and GEIPAN took the opportunity to encourage anyone launching them to report their activity.
