Green light over Pompignan caused by a laser show

Summary

On 17 November 2016, two people in Pompignan spotted a green light crossing the cloudy sky. One of them photographed it several times. The investigation traced it to a laser show by artist Yvette Mattern, set up on the rooftop of the Quai des Savoirs in Toulouse and scheduled from 18 to 20 November. Rehearsals, however, had started on 15 November, matching the date of the sighting. Other witnesses in the area reported the same light. The recorded azimuth (134°) and distance were consistent with the venue's location, despite the usual imprecision of mobile phone compasses. The case was resolved as a laser show.
