Nine lights in triangular formation over Rambouillet

Summary

On 31 July 2008 at 23:15, a witness observed nine silent luminous points moving from east to west for just five seconds from their garden in Rambouillet. The lights formed three triangles arranged into a larger triangular shape. The formation climbed abruptly and vanished. The witness ruled out luminous balloons because of the direction of travel, but there were no other observers or supporting evidence. GEIPAN classified the case as C — unexploitable — due to insufficient data for further analysis.
