Dark spot in holiday photographs in Hérault

A tourist visiting Hérault in July 2008 discovered a strange dark spot when reviewing two of his photographs. He had noticed nothing unusual when taking them. Months later, a mayor handed a CD with those images to the gendarmerie, and the tourist came forward in August 2009 to report having seen a sphere and a disc. With no other witnesses or supporting records, the investigation was extremely limited.
