Stationary luminous phenomenon seen from the A6 motorway near Mâcon

Summary

A motorist and passenger on the A6 motorway observed a stationary luminous phenomenon at about 30 degrees above the horizon on two occasions. The object vanished suddenly without a trace. The description was fairly precise, though the case showed little strangeness. Investigators classified it as a probable solar reflection off high-altitude aircraft. GEIPAN rated it as category B.
