In February 2009, a motorist driving along the N88 between Rodez and Albi saw a blue-green luminous phenomenon cross the sky from northeast to southeast. Although the observation could not be confirmed against meteorite-sighting databases, the described characteristics — colour, speed, trajectory — are consistent with a bolide's atmospheric entry.
