On 28 February 2009, a witness in Basse-Ham (Moselle) saw a fireball followed by a yellow flame cross the sky from west to east. The phenomenon lasted two to three seconds. Despite the brief account, the description matches an atmospheric entry, most likely a meteorite burning up as it passed through the atmosphere. No physical traces or ground effects were reported.
