At around 19:30 on 15 February 2009, a witness in the Dordogne region saw a white luminous phenomenon moving rapidly at low altitude. It vanished within seconds, hidden by the landscape. The observer described it as tadpole-shaped, which investigators interpreted as a bright object with a tail. No sounds were mentioned. Given the linear trajectory and short duration, a meteorite is the most likely explanation. The case was classified B, with low strangeness and low consistency.
